Anping County Industrial Wire Mesh Factory produces Dutch plain woven and Dutch twill woven wire mesh and wire cloth. In a Dutch weave the warp and weft wires have different diameters: heavier warp wires give the cloth its strength, while finer weft wires are driven tightly together to form a dense, wedge-shaped pore. Dutch plain woven wire cloth makes an ideal filter cloth — a very compact, firm mesh with great strength. Dutch twill woven wire cloth offers higher strength than regular Dutch woven cloth and packs even more wires into a given area, achieving the finest retention ratings we weave.
Dutch Plain vs Dutch Twill
Dutch plain weave crosses each weft over one warp at a time, producing a single dense layer with excellent flow for its rating — the workhorse for strainers and process filters. Dutch twill weave passes the weft over and under two warps, allowing a double layer of fine weft wires. Generally, Dutch twill woven wire cloth offers finer mesh counts and lower flow than other Dutch woven wire cloth: our 325x2300 and 400x2800 specifications retain particles in the single-digit micron range, where the cloth behaves more like a depth filter than a simple screen.
Materials and Standards
Standard materials are stainless steel AISI 304, 316, 304L and 316L, with the finest counts woven in 316L. Mesh count, wire diameters and weave construction are verified at the loom and at final inspection; buyers may also specify testing against published international standards for industrial woven wire cloth, including bubble-point checks on micron-rated filter cloth.
Applications
Dutch weave stainless steel wire cloth is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, environmental protection, mining, aerospace, paper-making, electronics and metallurgy. Typical duties include polymer and resin filtration, oil and fuel filters, pressure leaf and candle filter media, pharmaceutical and food-grade straining, and gasket-supported screen packs for plastics extrusion. Because the weft wires sit shoulder to shoulder, Dutch cloth keeps its rating under pressure far better than fine plain weave.

Ordering Notes
State the warp x weft count or the micron rating you need, plus roll width, length and quantity, on the Online Order form. Cut discs and shaped pieces for filter assemblies are a routine custom service — see the Service page. For coarser, more open screening, compare plain weave and twill weave specifications.
